Some time ago dear friend of mine asked how we continue living when we feel there is nothing left worth fighting for, my friend asked me how I kept from giving up hope.
I did not have answer then but now.. well truth is I did not make it past that day. I realize that now. For 17 years there was no day that passed that I do not think of her, that I do not remember sound of her laugh, or way she smiled.. or passion in her eyes when I looked upon her. I remember it all and for 17 years it hurt as nothing else hurt and it has not become any easier to breathe today than it was to breathe then.
I loved her. I do still. But I am ready to let her go. I have found my hope and though it pains me.. I know her only request is that I should live, that I should love again for her.

Many things have not gone as planned in this life but all is well. Change will come soon, I can feel it. Whether this change is for good or worse we have yet to see. I do not fear it.
It often amazes me--the revolutions that man has made over the last seventy years. I have witnessed destruction of the Holocaust, I have served mankind in the Red Army and I have fought a war for peace in this world I am only half a part of, I have watched a tentative truce and again witnessed the subjugation of man by what others think are superiors.
I believe now is a time for that reign to end.
It is my belief that mankind is made for far better than what we've achieved and have done to each other, it is not Gods purpose that we destroy our brothers.
Change is coming. |
